News Flash: Ghostbusters: The Board Game, Valentine’s Sale at Victory Point Games

- If you’re a fan of Ghostbusters, you might be interested in checking out the Kickstarter campaign for Ghostbusters: The Board Game, which will be published by Cryptozoic Entertainment. The game has already received nearly double the pledge goal.
- Victory Point Games is running a Valentine's Day sale from the 13th to the 16th. During that time every game is 10% off, with another discount also applied to bigger orders.
- Cheapass Games has released two free print-and-play games: Queensland is a fancied up version of a much older game, and Flip is a strategy game played with ten 6-sided dice.
- New reviews this week of Mint Tin Pirates (Homemaker Hobbies), Niya (GeekDad), and For Sale (Go Play Listen).
- This week Clever Move wondered how many standalone versions of Carcassonne there actually are. The answer? Quite a few as it turns out.
- Looping Louie is a kid's toy that has grown somewhat of a cult following in recent years among board game fans. (In fact it was even mentioned in the Dice Tower's top ten most overrated games, since so many board gamers have taken a fancy to it). Earlier this week, Hasbro announced that it will be releasing a Star Wars themed version of the game called Star Wars Loopin’ Chewie.
- The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies edition of Love Letter is scheduled for release next month if you want to add some more hobbits to your gaming.
- Board Game Geek has announced the twenty finalists for board game of the year in 2014.
