In the wild and wonderful world of casual board games, 2023 was a whirlwind of excitement and innovation! We had lots of games to play through, but only one could be crowned as the best casual game.

Our editorial team members independently put together a list of our favorite games from 2022 — and in the end, we had to narrow it down to just one.

Despite a bumpy ride for the industry in 2021, many great casual games came across our radar throughout the year. But in the end, we could only choose one to receive our Best Casual Game of 2021 award.

2020 was a bumpy year in many respects, but there definitely was a silver lining: some great games were released! There were many great candidates for our annual award, but in the end we had to narrow it down to one.
